Advance ResearchA drug research laboratory was set up at MGIaS on 24th April 2006, which was dedicated to the Nation by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan Smt. Vasundhara Raje Scindia on 6th August 2006. The laboratory was established to materialise the vision of JECRC Foundation to provide a platform for Industry-Institute collaboration, vital for development of scientific temper amongst the students. This research laboratory is a joint venture of MGIaS and US based pharmaceutical company. The management and scientists at the laboratory are determined to establish it as one of the best research centres in the field of drug research and allied areas within the next five years. The Centre also plans to impart training to at least 20 young scientists every year so as to make them capable of handling sophisticated instruments used in chemical and pharmaceutical research laboratories/Industry and to carry out typical chemical synthesis independently.Research Lab

The Centre has three standard size Chemical Laboratories with 12 fuming cupboards fitted with powerful exhausts and gas/water connections along with an instrumentation room and a scientists' conference room. A pilot plant is also in operation and has the capacity to perform synthetic chemical reactions to the tune of 100 litre capacity.

The Lab is well-equipped with the latest technology including equipments like the HPLC (HP Agilent 1050) and LCMS (HP Agilent 1100 MSD). A 200 MHz multi nuclear NMR equipment (Bruker) will also be installed shortly. Presently, there are four research scientists working under the guidance of an experienced Director and the number may be increased to 20 within a year.
